Hi, I am Barrett, thank you for coming here to learn a little more about me. For as long as I can remember, storytelling has been my way of surviving, connecting, and making sense of the world. I grew up in a very strict, abusive, apocalyptic religious cult led by my father, who believed he was a prophet sent to stop the enrollment process of the mark of the beast. There was no formal education, no freedom, and very little safety. I left home at 16, determined to build a life that made room for truth, creativity, and human connection.

 

That is obviously the very short version of how I got where I am today but the point being is that what started as survival became a calling to tell stories that matter. Since then, I’ve worked across many corners of the creative world as an actor, writer, director, teacher, content creator, and motivational speaker. I’ve performed on screen and stage, in film, television, and theater, collaborating with major studios, independent filmmakers, artists, and brands.

 

I earned my Bachelors of Music in Musical Theatre, but I’ve also learned just as much from the side jobs, setbacks, and strange detours that have shaped me as both a person and a creative. My work often explores identity, resilience, trauma, joy, and the quiet strength found in unlikely places. I’ve created content that mixes humor, advocacy, and reflection while speaking out against child abuse, sharing my experiences growing up in religious extremism, and using my voice to spark connection and healing.

 

My best-selling children’s book, The Acorn’s Journey as well as my production company "Epic of 9" were both born out of that same desire...to tell stories that would entertain, educate, and empower. In addition to my own creative projects, I collaborate with individuals and companies as a consultant and story developer helping shape personal narratives, brand messaging, and original content that connects with people on a deep, human level. I believe everyone has a story worth telling, it all depends how you tell it.

 

At the heart of everything I do is a mission: to create meaningful art, to stay grounded in truth, and to remind others that they’re not alone. So, thank you for following along and being a part of my journey because I promise you...I’m just getting started.
